Ardalion Ignatyev

Ardalion Vasilyevich Ignatyev (Russian Ардалион Васильевич Игнатьев, English transcription Ardalion Ignatyev, . * November 24, 1930 in Nowoje Toiderjakowo, Rajon Jaltschiki, Chuvashia, Russia, † 24 September 1998) was a Soviet sprinter. He is considered the first Olympic medalist from Chuvashia.

Career

At the first appearance of the Soviet team at the Olympic Games in 1952 Ardalion Ignatiev difference in Helsinki in the semifinals over 400 m. In the 4 x 400 - meter relay of the competition was finished after the lead for the Soviet team.
