The Assa Abloy Group - (proper spelling ASSA ABLOY) is a Swedish worldwide operating group of companies, the locking systems, electromechanical products, security doors and fittings manufactures and sells. The company is listed since 1994 on the Stockholm Stock Exchange (now Nasdaq OMX, Stockholm ).

Organization

Assa Abloy has five divisions: EMEA, Americas, Asia - Pacific, Global Technologies and Entrance Systems.

Larger acquisitions

  • Yale: Assa Abloy acquired in March 2000, British Yale.
  • Cardo: In December 2010, Assa Abloy acquired by the investment company LE Lundbergföretagen a majority stake in the industrial group Cardo, among other things, Industrial doors, garage doors and pump manufactures, and gave a bid for the remaining shares. 2011, the acquisition of Cardo was completed. Cardo belongs under the name Crawford for Assa Abloy Group.

Product Categories

History

The Assa Abloy Group, was founded in 1994, when the company ASSA AB from the Swedish security company Securitas AB separated. Shortly thereafter, he took over the Finnish manufacturer of high security locks, Abloy Oy, a subsidiary of the Finnish company Wärtsilä. That same year, the Assa Abloy - Group was listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.

Germany
