Aurimas Taurantas

Aurimas Taurantas ( born February 7, 1956 in Vilnius) is a Lithuanian politician and diplomat.

Life

After graduation in 1974 at the S. Neris Middle School in Kaunas in 1979, he completed the diploma program of Applied Mathematics at Kauno politechnikos institutas. From 1979 to 1990 he worked as an engineer at the Research Institute of Radio Metrology Kaunas. From 1990 to 1992 he was described as " Sąjūdis " member teaching load in the Seimas. From 1992 to 1993 he worked at the Ministry of Transport of Lithuania and then at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania. From 1994 to 1999 he was ambassador to the European Union in Brussels from 2002 to 2006 in England, starting in 2010 in the Czech Republic.
