The Austin Straubel International Airport ( IATA: GRB, ICAO: KGRB ) is the airport from Green Bay to the east of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The permanently open and the Brown County owned airport is the main hub of air transport in the metropolitan region around the city of Green Bay.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) classifies the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems belonging airport by the number of 410 348 departing passengers as a small hub primary commercial service airport.

Location

The airport is located in the municipalities of the suburbs Ashwaubenon and Hobart, close to the southwestern city limits of Green Bay. The entire airport is located on the territory of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin, an Indian reservation of the Oneida.

About the Airport Drive, the airport is connected to the 12.5 km north east town center of Green Bay.

Equipment

The airport has two start and runways, each having a concrete pad. There is a passenger terminal with two areas of the cabin, built in its present form in 2004 and 2005. Each passenger area has six gates with jetways. There is a baggage handling system with two output locations in the main building, where several car rental companies have their bases.

At the airport a total of 112 aircraft are based. Of these, 50 single-engine and multi-engine propeller planes 38, 18 jets and 5 helicopters. In addition, is still an ultralight aircraft stationed.
