Australia Fed Cup team

The Australian Fed Cup team is the national team of Tennis Australia, which is used in the Fed Cup. The Fed Cup (until 1995 Federation Cup ) is the most important competition for national teams in women's tennis, similar to the Davis Cup for the men.

History

For the first time Australia took part in the 1963 Fed Cup. Australia is one of the previously participated in by only four countries on all Fed Cup championships. The team already could win the championship seven times.
