Aweida

Auweyida, also Awiyeda, Germanized Aweida ( * before 1850 in Boe, † 1921 when GABAB - channel ) was a nauruischer king and husband of Eigamoiya. He was chosen as chief of Boe king. As king he pretended laws that have been legitimized by the chiefs. Before Nauru was subjected by whites, it was last ruled by Auweyida.

Also known as the German Empire conquered and annexed to Nauru German New Guinea, Auweyida was able to maintain his sovereignty as king and remained supreme chief of the Nauruan people. More about him is not known.
