Bad Booklet is a market in the Lower Franconian district of Bad Kissingen. The spa with the strongest steel spring in Germany 's Bavarian Staatsbad.

Geography

Geographical Location

The village is located about ten kilometers north of the town of Bad Kissingen in a loop of the Franconian Saale. In the north the municipality borders the district of Rhön - grave field.

History

Booklet was first mentioned in 1122 in a deed of foundation of the monastery aura. As part of the Prince-Bishopric of Würzburg, which belonged to the Frankish Empire Circle, Booklet was secularized in 1803 in Bavaria's favor, then leave in the Peace of Pressburg 1805, Archduke Ferdinand of Tuscany to form the Grand Duchy of Würzburg, with which it finally fell to the Kingdom of Bavaria in 1814. Incorporations

On January 1, 1972, the communities of Bad Bocklet, Aschach were merged in Bad Kissingen and Großenbrach the new community Booklet. On February 16, 1972 the new church was named additional bathroom. On 1 May 1978, the Marktsteinach followed on the Saale with the hamlets of Steinach an der Saale, scorn, Roth an der Saale and Nickersfelden.

Balthasar -Neumann- source

Germany's strongest source of iron, so earlier, steel source, now called Balthasar -Neumann- source, was discovered in 1724 by the parish priest Aschacher Schöppner. Coat of Arms history

Bad Bocklet emerged in its present size in 1972 by the merger of the municipalities Steinach an der Saale, Aschach, bathroom Booklet and Großenbrach. The coat of arms of Aschach, bathroom Booklet and Steinach have been here used as the basis for a new Coat of Arms. To the wells of salvation was taken from the coat of arms of Bad Booklet. The small sign with the hen, the coat of arms of the Counts of Henneberg, is the former rural community Aschach. The of Henneberg's had in the Middle Ages there the local rule. The two red mace are taken from the coat of arms of the former municipality of Steinach an der Saale. The rose was only added in today's coat of arms. The mace come from the arms of the forester Lebenhan - Red piston. They were the forester in the so-called Salzenforst. The colors silver and blue are the colors of Bavaria. They stand for the name Bavarian Staatsbad. The coat of arms was officially granted on 16 February 1982.

Regular events

  • Regularly in May the Source Days will take place. A series of events of seven to nine days with entertainment, music, lectures, spa garden lighting and much more. The conclusion is usually a big fireworks display.
