Bangladesh Premier League (football)

B. The League is the highest division in football in Bangladesh. Responsible for the league, the National Association BFF. The Championship will be wearing with eleven teams in home and away matches. The master of the country, currently Abahani Ltd.. Dhaka is entitled to participate in the AFC President's Cup. The-table rises at the end of the season from the Dhaka League and the top eight of the league will automatically qualify for the Super Cup in Bangladesh.

History

From Dhaka League, the National League Championship in 1999 /00 organized before the National Association agreed to the introduction of a professional league in 2006. B. The League was originally supposed to start in September 2006. Due to problems with the stadiums and the registration of the players, the start, however, postponed until March 2007. League was scheduled for twelve teams. But the club Sylhet DSA was in January 2007, known not to participate in the league. There was no backup crew used and the league started with eleven teams on March 2, 2007. B. The opening match of the League denied the Sheikh Russell KC and the Mohammedan SC. Both parted 1:1. The first master of the new league was Abahani Ltd.. Dhaka, which his title in 2008/ 09 also successfully defended. Sporty Up to 2008/09 season was the Fakirerpool Young Men's Club. However, the league, or the association did not let the club take part in the season. With the company Citycell could be presented to the 2008/09 season for the first time an official sponsor of the league.
