Bari–Barletta railway

The railway line Bari - Barletta is a standard gauge railway line in Italy. It is operated by the private railway company Ferrotramviaria.

History

The line was opened in 1965 and replaced a narrow-gauge steam tram.

From the second half of the 1990s, some sections have been expanded double track. The second track was taken in November 2004 on the section Bitonto - Ruvo, in April 2005 on the section Palese - Bitonto and in January 2006 on the Fesca Palese section in operation.

Since 22 December 2008, the section is shared within the city of Bari and of the urban rail transport.
