Belaya Gora, Sakha Republic
Belaya Gora (Russian Белая Гора; Yakut Үрүҥ хайа ) is an urban-type settlement in the Republic of Sakha ( Yakutia) in Russia with 2245 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ).
Geography
The place is situated about 1050 km as the crow northeast of the capital city of Yakutsk in the Republic Abyjniederung on the right bank of the Indigirka, about 20 km below the confluence of the left tributary Ujandina.
Belaya Gora is the administrative center of Ulus Abyjski. The settlement is the seat and only town in the municipality ( gorodskoje posselenije ) Possjolok Belaya Gora.
History
The town was founded in 1974 as a new Rajonverwaltungszentrum - southwest instead of the 50 kilometers situated on the left bank of Indigirka and in consequence discontinued - founded settlement drushina. He received in 1975 the status of an urban-type settlement. The Russian and Yakut name of the settlement are available for white mountain.

Traffic
Belaya Gora is not connected to the fixed line network. It is located on one of the following winter Indigirka down slopes, the coming on runs partly on the ice of the river of Ust- Nera on Chonuu after Tschokurdach. Another dirt road in a westerly direction the Ujandina up and in the mining settlement Deputatski is no longer maintained.
Northeast of Balaja Gora is located on the banks of Indigrka an airport ( ICAO code ÜSG ).
