Bellview is a census -designated place (CDP ) in Escambia County in the U.S. state of Florida with 23,355 inhabitants ( 2010).

Geography

Bellview is approximately 5 km west of Pensacola and the eastern shore of Perdido River, just before its confluence with the Gulf of Mexico. The CDP is from U.S. Highway 90 (SR 10A ) and the Florida State Roads 173 and 296 crosses.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 23,355 inhabitants distributed to 10,022 households. The population density was 763.2 inh. / Km ². 71.0 % of the population were white, 18.3% African American, 0.8 % Native American and 4.4% Asian Americans. 1.2% were members of other ethnic groups and 4.2% in different ethnic groups. 4.4% of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 25.0 % of all households lived in 33.3 % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 69.3 % of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 2.54 persons and the average family size was 3.01 persons.

26.5% of the population were younger than 20 years, 26.5% were 20-39 years old, 27.9% were 40-59 years old and 19.1 % were at least 60 years old. The median age was 38 years. 47.4 % of the population were male and 52.6 % female.

The average annual income was $ 48,898, while 12.8 % of the population lived below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 94.60 % of the population spoke Spanish 2.15% and 3.25 % had a different mother tongue.
