Goulding is a census -designated place (CDP ) in Escambia County in the U.S. state of Florida with 4,102 inhabitants ( 2010).

Geography

Goulding is directly adjacent to the city of Pensacola. The CDP is traversed or affected by the Interstate 110, U.S. Highway 29 and the Florida State Roads 291, 292, 295 and 752.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 4,102 inhabitants distributed to 1,133 households. The population density was 1281.9 inh. / Km ². 33.0 % of the population were white, 61.8 % African American, 0.8 % Native American and 1.9 % Asian Americans. 1.0% were members of other ethnic groups and 1.5 % of various ethnicities. 10.1% of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

In 2010, children under the age of 18 and 36.0 % of all households lived in 28.8 % of all households with persons at least 65 years. 59.6 % of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or a parent with offspring ). The average size of a household was 2.45 persons and the average family size is 3.19 people.

17.2% of the population were younger than 20 years, 26.1% were 20-39 years old, 38.4 % were 40-59 years old and 18.2 % were at least 60 years old. The median age was 44 years. 67.1 % of the population were male and 32.9 % female.

The average annual income was $ 23,089, while 36.9 % of the population lived below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 98.56 % of the population and 1.44 % spoke Spanish.
