Ferry Pass is a census -designated place (CDP ) in Escambia County in the U.S. state of Florida with 28 921 inhabitants ( 2010).

Geography

Ferry Pass borders directly north of Pensacola, as well as to the city's airport. The CDP is to Interstates 10 and 110, from U.S. Highway 90 (SR 10) and the Florida State Roads 289, 290, 291 and 742 crosses or touches.

Demographics

According to the 2010 census, the then 28 921 inhabitants distributed to 14,104 households. The population density was 792.4 inh. / Km ². 76.8 % of the population were white, 15.3% African American, 0.7 % Native American and 2.2% Asian Americans. 1.6% were members of other ethnic groups and 3.3% in different ethnic groups. 5.9% of the population were Hispanic or Latino.

The average size of a household was 2.10 persons and the average family size is 2.74 people.

21.8 % of the population were younger than 20 years, 32.0% were 20-39 years old, 22.8 % were 40-59 years old and 23.4 % were at least 60 years old. The median age was 36 years. 46.2 % of the population were male and 53.8 % female.

The average annual income was $ 43,118, while 15.7 % of the population lived below the poverty line.

In 2000, English was the mother tongue of 94.94 % of the population spoke Spanish 2.42% and 2.64 % had a different mother tongue.
