Birgit Õigemeel

Birgit Õigemeel (* September 24 1988 in Kohila, Estonia) is an Estonian pop singer and the winner of Eesti otsib superstaari (Estonia Idol ) in 2007.

Life

Birgit Õigemeel is in the village Vilivere in the Estonian community Kohila, raised circle Rapla, and received the Vanalinna Hariduskolleegium in Tallinn a school education with a focus on music and theater. Even long after her breakthrough she still appeared as a soloist for the Tallinna Gospelkoor. In 2007, she was named the winner of the first season of the talent show Eesti otsib superstaari.

Their first single Kas tead, mida tähendab appeared on 3 October 2007 and was elected by Raadio 2 to the second best Estonian Single of the Year 2007. The debut album Birgit Õigemeel was published on 24 January 2008. Taken from this album are also the three appeared in the course of 2008 radio singles 365 Days, Homme and Ise. With 365 Days Birgit took part in the Estonian preliminaries for the Euro Vision Song Contest 2008 and came up with the third place.

In November 2008 ( " Beautiful time " ) Õigemeels second album was aeg with Ilus published. Then there are Estonian and international Christmas carols. The third album Teineteisel pool from 2009 contains predominantly danceable club music. Most singles are only released as radio singles, so not as OTC CDs. All publications were limited so far to Estonia. On February 25, 2012, she took part in the second semi-final of Eesti Lauls 2012. My song is called You're Not Alone. They failed to qualify for the finals on March 3, 2012, and finished in seventh place there. The following year, she participated again and won with her song Et uus saaks alguse against nine competitors and was therefore entitled to compete in 2013 for Estonia in the Euro Vision Song Contest. She was five months pregnant and expecting her baby in September 2013. She landed on the 20th Place.
