Bjarne Corydon

Bjarne Corydon Fog ( born March 1, 1973 in Kolding ) is a Danish politician of the Social Democrats and since October 3, 2011 Minister of Finance in the government of Prime Minister Helle Thorning- Schmidt.

Life

Corydon studied political science at the University of Aarhus. He became a member of the Social Democratic Party and 1996 employees in the office of the Socialists in the European Parliament in 1992. Here he worked, inter alia, as maternity representation for the office manager Helle Thorning- Schmidt. After graduating in 2000 he became an adviser to his party on economic policy issues.

He was appointed Chief of Staff Party Chairman Thorning- Schmidt and Head of the Analysis and Information Department at the party headquarters in 2005. In this role he was involved together with Henrik Sass Larsen instrumental in the growing cooperation of the Social Democrats and Socialistisk Folkeparti. He is considered a close political confidant of party leader.

In the general election in 2011, he received a seat in parliament and represents the constituency Sydjyllands Stork Reds in the Folketing. On 3 October 2011, Corydon Finance Minister in the Cabinet Thorning- Schmidt.
