Michael Spindelegger

Michael Spindelegger ( born December 21, 1959 in Vienna) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP). Since December 2013 he is Minister of Finance since April 2011 and Vice-Chancellor of Austria. In May 2011 he was elected to the federal party leader of his party.

Life

Spindelegger attended elementary school in Hinterbrühl, where he grew up and now lives. He attended high school in Mödling, where he was sports manager Ronnie Leitgeb in the same class. 1977 to 1978 he did his service as a one-year volunteer of the Austrian army. Policy

In 1987, he rose after the example of his father, Erich Spindelegger, in politics.
