Eduard Heinl

Eduard Heinl ( born April 9, 1880 in Vienna, † April 10, 1957 ) was an Austrian politician (CS, ÖVP).

Life

Eduard Heinl joined by his school education in 1898 in the urban service in 1910 in the country's service. In 1904 he was entrusted with the political organization of the Christian Social Party. From 1918 he was director of the Commercial Training Institute of the Chamber of Trade, Commerce and Industry in Vienna.

Heinl was a member of the Constituent National Assembly (1919 /20). From 1920 to 1924 he was Member of Parliament. As a member of the State Government and the Federal Government I Mayr Mayr II he was from 1920 to 1921 Minister for trade and commerce, industry and buildings. From 1930 to 1932 he was Minister for trade and transport. From 1926 to 1938 he was president of the RAVAG. In the years 1944/45, he had some days by the Gestapo.

1945 Heinl became Secretary of State. From 1946 to 1948 he was the Federal Minister for Trade and Reconstruction. From 1951 he was the Chief Financial Officer of the ÖVP. In 1951 he was commissioned by the City of Vienna the ring of honor.

In 1954 he was awarded the Grand Gold Medal with Ribbon for Services to the Republic of Austria

Heinl was also President of the Austrian Association for the United Nations.

In 1961 in Vienna Dobling ( 19th District ), the Dr.- Eduard- Heinl alley named after him.
