Björn silts ( born June 23, 1981 in Erlangen ) is a German football player.

Career

Association

The defender learned in the F- youth - youth team of the local association ATSV Erlangen his footballing first steps. He changed to C -teenager to local rival FSV Erlangen- Bruck, the most successful in the youth development club of Erlangen. There he played in the highest possible for this youth class, the district league.

As a B -teenager silts transferred to 1 FC Nuremberg. There he was employed in the team 's youth. In the season 1999/2000 he received his first nine Bayern league appearances in the amateur team of the 1st FC Nuremberg.

The following season, 2000/ 01 muds moved to SpVgg Greuther Fürth. After two years in which he had primarily played in the amateur team him in the season 2002/ 03 the breakthrough in the basic formation of the professional team.

For 950,000 euros, the Hamburger SV secured from the Bundesliga in the subsequent season 2003/ 04 the services of silt. It was after a short time also regular players. Except for a violation period before the end of the first season so far, due to a meniscus tear in his left knee, he played until the end of the 2004/05 season as a right -back.

After a year he left Cologne and moved to MSV Duisburg. For the 2010/11 season he signed for second division rivals FSV Frankfurt a two year contract. From coach Hans -Jürgen Boysen he was appointed team captain. Shortly before the end of his contract with the FSV silts extending that until the summer of 2014, in November 2013 again early for another year.

Silts has graduated eight students matches in the U -15 national and 14 international matches in the U-21 national team. In addition, he played between 2003 and 2004 in the team in 2006, the perspective of the DFB team.
