Breaker (Accept album)
Breaker is the third album by the heavy metal band Accept.
Formation
The album was recorded once again in the Delta Studio in Wilster with the production of Dirk Steffens. It was the first Accept album, which Michael Wagener has worked. Bassist Peter Baltes sings the lead vocals on Breaking Up Again and Midnight Highway. The album title was later the name of Dirk Udo Schneider's own record company, Breaker Records. All compositions have been written by Accept.
Reception
The magazine Rock Hard Breaker sat on the 135th place his 500 title scoring leaderboard. Götz Kühnemund wrote that the band have consequently " new standards in terms of hardness " is set. You 've never " such cutting guitars heard", not even with Iron Maiden, Judas Priest or Motorhead. Also the voice of Dirk Schneider was outstanding. On the album was "not a single weak song ."
Censorship
The Japan and UK releases of the album ( by Polystar and Castle Classics ) a censored version of the song " Son of a Bitch", in which the lyrics of the songs have been replaced by less inappropriate contain ( Chorus: "Born to be whipped " ).
