Burnley

Burnley is a town in the same district in the county of Lancashire in England, and is situated on the Leeds - Liverpool Canal. The population is about 89,500.

The city was known for its cotton weaving in the 13th century and had a bustling wool industry. Today belong to the metal and engineering industry. In the 19th century, the Leeds-Liverpool Canal was built through the town, which led to a growth of modern industry.

In the north of the town is the striking Pendle Hill, which is associated with a former witchcraft.

In the town of Burnley FC plays in the Turf Moor. In the 2008 /09 season of Burnley FC rose again after 33 years in the Premier League on, managed, however the following season in the league and not played since then in the Football League Championship.
