Carolina Solberg Salgado
Carolina Salgado Solberg ( born August 6, 1987 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian beach volleyball player.
Career
At age nine, Carol played beach volleyball for the first time in the class her mother Isabel Salgado. After several years as Hall volleyball player at Flamengo, the younger sister of Maria Clara launched for the first time at the 2002 U18 World Championships and finished with her partner Isabel Grael fourth place, with Barbara Seixas she won in the two following years the silver medal. With her sister Carolina Salgado 2003 reached the bronze medal at the U21 World Championships, the following year played the two Brazilians their first FIVB World Tournament, but failed to qualify. Also in 2004, Carol won with Taiana Lima the gold medal at the U21 World Championships, an achievement that could repeat two 2005. This Carolina Salgado is the most successful junior of all time at the FIVB World Championships for under twenty-one.
In the years 2004-2007 reached the Salgado sisters who henceforth always competed together in adult tournaments, their best result in the World Tour at the South African Open in Cape Town in 2005. They occupied the bronze medal and were the first daughters of one winner a FIVB World Tour medal, which also reached the podium.
The 2008 season was the most successful of Carol and Maria Clara. In addition to two fourth and fifth places, the two Brazilians won the bronze medals in Stare Jabłonki, Marseille and Dubai. 2010

At the World Championships in Scheveningen Maria Clara / Carol occupied ninth place.
2013
At the World Championships in Stare Jabłonki Maria Clara / Carol reached as group winners the main round, where they did against the Slovaks Dubovcová / Nestarcová.
Family
Carolina's mother Isabel Salgado won in 1994 at a FIVB tournament in Miami. Brother Pedro has already won more than ten tournaments and was elected in 2008 with his partner FIVB Tour Champion and Team of the Year. In addition to Pedro Beach and partner Maria Clara, there are the three other brothers Bernardo, Pilar and Celina.
