Carpineti

Carpineti is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 4125 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Reggio Emilia in Emilia -Romagna. The municipality is situated approximately 28.5 kilometers south-southwest of Reggio Emilia. The southern boundary of the parish is the Secchia.

History

In the 11th century the village was first mentioned in a document. The castle was built from 1077 Carpineti. The Abbey of Marola is derived from the time Matilda of Tuscany building.

Traffic

Through the community, the Strada Statale 63 del Valico del Cerreto leads from Aulla by Gualtieri.
