Collagna

Collagna is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 965 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the province of Reggio Emilia in Emilia -Romagna. Factions of the community Collagna are the villages Acquabona, Cerreto Alpi, Cerreto Laghi, Oratorio, Ponte barons, Porali, Valbona and Vallisnera. The municipality is situated approximately 75 kilometers from Reggio Emilia in the National Park of the Tuscan - Emilian Apennines. In the mountainous region of the municipality of the Secchia originates. Collagna belongs to the Comunità montana dell'Appennino Reggiano.

History

The village was first mentioned in documents in 1153. Until 1872, the community was still called according to the local dialect Culagna. 1920, there was an earthquake in the destruction of many buildings.

Passing through the municipality, the former Strada Statale 63 del Valico del Cerreto (now a provincial road ) from Aulla by Gualtieri.
