Cavigliano

Cavigliano was up on April 13, 2013 a municipality in the district Melezza, in the district of Locarno in the canton of Ticino in Switzerland. On April 14, 2013 Cavigliano was merged with Tegna and Verscio to the new community Terre di Pedemonte.

Until the merger, the neighboring communities Cento Valli, Maggia, Verscio, Losone and Isorno were.

History

On September 22, 2002, an advisory vote was held for the new church Pedemonte for fusion project of the communities Tegna, Verscio and Cavigliano. The project was abandoned after the negative vote of the voters of Tegna.
