The Central Stadium (Russian Центральный стадион ( Казань ) ) is a football stadium with track and field facility in the Russian city of Kazan, capital of the Republic of Tatarstan. Here the football club Rubin Kazan receives his opponents to the games.

History

The stadium in Kazan was inaugurated on 25 June 1960. The first football game was held on August 21, 1960 between Iskra and Kazan Metallurg Kamensk- Uralski (4:1) instead. Before the venue got its present name it was called Lenin Stadium. Renovated in 2006 sports facility now offers 30,133 spectators (133 VIP box seats ) and from the main stage (West ) from the ranks are covered up to half of the stadium. Six blocks of the North Stand are provided for the visiting fans. In addition, the stadium is equipped with a soil heating and a digital display panel; the floodlights provides 1385 lux and a video surveillance system with 31 cameras (13 inside and 18 outside) is available. For the journalists are 43 jobs available and tickets can be purchased at any of the 14 cards switch.

Directly behind the main stand a sports hall for football and track and was opened on August 29, 2007. It has a length of 178 m, the width is 91 m and extends 24 m in height. On a small grandstand find around 1,000 spectators. It is laid out on the field, with dimensions of 105 x 68 m, an artificial turf and around it performs a five-lane running track.
