César Marcelak

Marcelak César ( born January 5, 1913 in Mülheim an der Ruhr, † 17 February 2005 in Bully- les -Mines in Liévin, Pas -de- Calais ) was a French cyclist.

Marcelak was originally from Poland. On July 27, 1947, he obtained French citizenship.

Also in 1947 he decided to become a professional racer. 1948 and 1949 he took part in the Tour de France. His best finish in 1949, he reached the third stage between Brussels and Boulogne -sur -Mer, as he Norbert Callens was second behind the Belgian.

The greatest success of his career, he celebrated in 1948 with the title of the French road champion.

Marcelak died in February 2005 at the age of 92 years.
