Chalamont

Chalamont is a commune with 2365 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Ain ​​, in the Rhône -Alpes. It belongs to the arrondissement Bourg -en- Bresse, capital of the canton Chalamont and seat of the municipal association Canton de Chalamont.

Geography

The municipality is located in the Chalamont forest and lakes of the Bresse, about 25 kilometers south of Bourg -en- Bresse. To the east of the city rises the river Veyle.
