Chiprana

Chiprana is a Spanish municipality ( municipio ) in the province of Zaragoza the Aragon Autonomous Region. It belongs to the comarca of Bajo Aragón - Caspe and is located approximately nine kilometers west of the Ebro Caspe. The village had 487 inhabitants on 1 January 2013.

History

In the district of Dehesa de los Baños traces connected have been found dating from Roman times with the cruise on the Ebro. From the Roman period also the mausoleum of Chiprana.

In Chiprana Templar and Hospitaller resided until the disentailment (1835 ).
