City Heat - The Bull Moonlighting ( City Heat ) is an American action-comedy from 1984, directed by Richard Benjamin, the screenplay by Blake Edwards and Joseph Stinson. . The film opened on 10 May 1985 in West German cinemas.

Action

The action takes place in Kansas City in 1933, the rank of lieutenant spear was once friends with the earlier working for the police private investigator Mike Murphy.; later the men were rivals. Both flirt with Addy, the secretary of Murphy.

Spear and Addy visit together to attend a boxing match, the Murphys also business partners Dehl Swift and the gangster Primo Pitt. Swift can be detected the illegal activities of his gang in possession of accounting Primo Pitt, by the. When trying to recoup these books Pitt shoots Swift. Now Murphy falls into the line of fire, because the various gangs suspect that he was in possession of the books. And indeed he manages to find these books in Swift's hideout. In the final two shootings almost all gangsters are extinguished, and Speer and Murphy succeeds, though reluctantly, but hand in hand to bring everything to a good end.

Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun - Times, the production history is so " stressful " was that there is no power to filmmaking was left. The film was a " confusing mess " that " every ten minutes " telling a pointless story with fighting. Many actors like Irene Cara and Madeline Kahn in the role of a vamp in Marlene Dietrich- style were talented, but every scene seems to have a different inspiration.
