Claussnitz is a municipality in the district of Central Saxony, Saxony ( Germany ).

Geography

The community is located about 15 km north of the city of Chemnitz between cities Burgstädt and Mittweida. Claussnitz situated on the river Chemnitz and spreads out to the east.

History

In the year 1277 was the first written mention of Claussnitz. Probably brought in the 12th century Count Dedo of Rochlitz, who founded the monastery Zschillen in today's exchange castle, settlers in the area. The current community Claussnitz arose after the municipal reform on 1 March 1994.

Local partnerships

Since 1992, a partnership with the Baden-Württemberg community Hermaringen and since July 2001, a further partnership with the Slovak village Nová Ľubovňa.

Transport links

The B 107 from Chemnitz to injection Walk runs through the village districts marker, Claussnitz and Diethensdorf the next northern city of Rochlitz. The municipality can be reached via the A 4 - port Chemnitz Glösa ( about 9 km). The Chemnitz Switchback led by the municipality, the operation was discontinued on 11 December 2001.

  • Natschinski Thomas was born on October 25, 1947 in Claussnitz. It was founded in 1969 known for the song " mocha milk ice bar ", 1978/79 he led the band by Veronika Fischer and worked from 1981 to 1984 by the band's keyboardist carat.
