The main business of Cleveland Bridge are the construction of large steel bridges, strengthening of steel bridges and the construction of steel structures of industrial plants, refineries, power plants, airports, stations, stadiums, skyscrapers, big halls, etc.

Cleveland Bridge & Engineering Company

The company was founded in 1877 in Darlington and has grown from a small manufacturer of metal parts for Cleveland Bridge & Engineering Company, a global bridge building company.

In 1969, the company was acquired by the conglomerate Trafalgar House, the 1982, Redpath Dorman Long took over and in 1990 the two companies merged to Cleveland Structural Engineering.

Following the acquisition in 1996 by Trafalgar House by the Norwegian group Kvaerner ASA, the company was renamed Kvaerner Cleveland Bridge.

2000, the company has been dissolved out by a management buy -out from the group. As Cleveland Bridge, it was shortly after the part of the Al Rushaid Group in Al- Khobar, Saudi Arabia. It has a subsidiary in Dubai ( Cleveland Bridge Middle East ( Pte) Ltd. ) And Jubail ( Cleveland Bridge Steel Company Ltd. (Saudi Arabia ) ).
