Colin Forbes (ice hockey)

Colin Forbes ( born February 16, 1976 in New Westminster, British Columbia ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player.

Career

Forbes was selected at the NHL Entry Draft in 1994 as 166 of the Philadelphia Flyers and graduated in the 1996/97 season his first three NHL games. By 1999, the Canadians played alternately with the Flyers and their farm team in Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League, without being able to prevail in the NHL.

This changed with his move to the Tampa Bay Lightning. Here was one of Forbes, as well as a year later with the Ottawa Senators, to the permanent staff in the best hockey league in the world. After a brief stint with the New York Rangers during the 2000/ 01 season the links Sagittarius moved to the Washington Capitals. Here it was the breakthrough, unlike his previous teams, but does not succeed and so he spent the most time at farm team in the AHL. With the Hershey Bears, he won the Calder Cup final here. Forbes then moved to Germany to Adler Mannheim, with whom he won the 2007 German Championship and the German Ice Hockey Cup. In Mannheim he stood until 2010 under contract. He then played for ERC Ingolstadt. Completed in 2011, Forbes his career.
