Corey Locke

Corey Locke ( born May 8, 1984 in Newmarket, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since July 2013 for the Chicago Wolves in the American Hockey League contract.

Career

Locke began his career with the Ottawa 67 's of the OHL. The NHL rights to it owned the Montreal Canadiens, who selected him in the NHL Entry Draft in 2003 to 113th place in the fourth round. During his time in the OHL, he won the Red Tilson Trophy ( OHL Award for the outstanding player of the season ) for two consecutive years. In the season 2002/ 03 he was also top scorer of the entire CHL with 151 accumulated points ( 63 goals, 88 assists).

For the season 2004 / 05, the Canadiens brought him into their farm team, the Hamilton Bulldogs. There he quickly established himself and won in his third year with the Bulldogs AHL Calder Cup. It was Locke scorer of the Bulldogs and an important building block for the team's success.

On January 8, 2008 Locke made ​​his debut in the NHL, but returned to this one game to Hamilton. A short time later he was appointed to the Executive of the Canadian All-Stars for the AHL All- Star Classic in 2008 and scored a goal and two assists in the All- Star Game of the AHL. In July 2010 he moved to the Ottawa Senators.

Since January 2013 he is at the polar bear Berlin under contract and won with the polar bears, the German championship. He was then obliged by the Chicago Wolves.
