Craven

Craven is a District in the county of North Yorkshire in England. Administrative center is the city of Skipton. Other important towns are Bentham, Settle, Clapham and Sutton-in -Craven.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of Skipton urban district, Settle Rural District and of the greater part of Skipton Rural District.
