Criss Cross Jazz

Criss Cross Jazz is a Dutch jazz label, which was founded in 1981 by Gerry Teekens in Enschede. The label releases mainly recordings of American jazz musicians.

The label first brought out plates of seasoned jazz musicians such as Jimmy Raney, Warne Marsh, Kirk Lightsey. The mid 1980s moved Gerry Teekens its activity in the United States, where he worked with Rudy Van monies into the 90 into it. It has also made recordings of Kenny Barron, Benny Green, Ted Brown, and Brian Lynch, Ralph Moore, Mike LeDonne. During the 1990s, Criss Cross Jazz evolved into a collection basin and chroniclers of a young American jazz scene. Criss Cross Jazz released records by David Kikoski, John Swana, Walt Weiskopf, Jim Rotondi, Steve Davis, David Hazeltine, Conrad Herwig, Alex Sipiagin, Jonathan Kreisberg, Wycliffe Gordon. Many artists also played as a studio musician: Kenny Washington, Peter Washington, Billy Drummond, Eric Alexander, Chris Potter, Peter Bernstein, Bill Stewart, Tim Warfield and Joe Farnsworth. The bulk of the recording activities supervised the sound engineer Max Bolleman.
