Daniel Fernholm

Daniel remote Holm ( born December 20, 1983 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player who is in the fall of 2013 at the Rapperswil -Jona Lakers of the National League A under contract.

Career

Daniel remote Holm began his career as a hockey player in the youth of Mora IK, for the first team he in the 2000 /01 season his debut in the HockeyAllsvenskan was, where it point by point and remained scoreless in two games. He subsequently transferred to the offspring of Djurgårdens IF, before he was in the 2002/ 03 second division Huddinge IK under contract. Previously, he has been selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2002 in the fourth round as a total of 101 players from the Pittsburgh Penguins. After the defense had started the season 2003/ 04 in their league rivals Hammarby IF, he returned to Djurgårdens IF for which he played in the following one and a half years a total of 83 games in the Elitserien. The 2004/05 season he finished the HC Bolzano in the Italian Serie A.

From 2005 to 2006 ran Fernholm on for Pittsburgh's farm team, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League and the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL. After he started the 2006/07 season with the Wheeling Nailers, the Left shooter returned to his native Sweden, where he was again obliged Djurgårdens IF. In the summer of 2007 Fern Holm eventually switched to Linköpings HC, with whom he 2007/ 08 was runner-up in the season and qualified for the newly founded Champions Hockey League, where he had two assists in the 2008 /09 season in three games.

In 2010 he moved to Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk in the Continental Hockey League, in which he completed 18 games before his contract was terminated in mid-November. The end of November, he moved within the KHL to HK Dinamo Minsk, for which he completed 28 KHL games. In May 2011, he left the club and was engaged only in August of the same year Atlant Mytischtschi. When reigning vice-champion, he could not convince, however, and was discharged after ten point-less operations in October 2011 from his current contract. In the same month he was engaged by HIFK Helsinki of the Finnish SM- liiga until season's end.

In September 2013 he received a contract for two months at the Rapperswil -Jona Lakers of the National League A.

Internationally

For Sweden took Fernholm part in the World Championships in 2008 and 2011. In the 2008 World Cup, he finished with his team to fourth place in the 2011 World Cup, he won the silver medal with Sweden.
