Life and career
Gimeno Traver made it 2009 is the second series in the year among the 100 best tennis players in the world to complete. He achieved mainly by two tournament victories on Challenge Rebene and reaching the quarterfinals at the ATP tournament in Acapulco. In 2012 he won in Viña del Mar his first ATP title when he in the final against Pablo Andújar and Carlos Berlocq in three sets almost got the upper hand with Frederico Gil.
The year 2013 began for Gimeno Traver with the move into the second round of the Australian Open and the quarterfinals in Vina del Mar. He reached rank 48 its highest ever position in the world rankings. At the French Open, he also reached the second round. The rest of the season was not very successful, so Gimeno Traver again slipped in the world rankings and the year finished at Rank 77.
