Life and career

2004-2007: Beginnings to the Future Tour and ATP debut

Julian Reister began at the age of 5 years, to play tennis. His first coach was his father Jürgen Reister, who died when Julian was 10 years old.

As of 2004, played Reister Futures tournaments, and in 2005 reached his first singles final at a tournament, as well as in a double two victories with his partner Jerome Becker.

In 2006, he reached two other finals at Future tournaments and two more victories in the doubles. 2008-2009: Establishment of the Challenger Tour

In February 2009, Julian Reister received his first title at a Futures tournament. This year he took part in three Grand Slam tournaments on the qualification, but never got beyond the second round.
