David Da Costa

David Da Costa ( 2011)

David Da Costa (born 19 April 1986) is a football goalkeeper with Swiss and Portuguese citizenship, who plays for FC Zurich in the Super League.

Career

David Da Costa began his career at FC Zurich, for whom he played from 1992 to 2008. In the season 2007/ 08 ( second round ), he was loaned to FC Chiasso in the Challenge League. In the following season, 2008/09, the goalkeeper moved to Concordia Basel, in which he completed 17 league games. After Concordia Basel announced the retirement from professional football, he moved back to FC Chiasso Da Costa, with whom he played nine appearances in the first league in the preliminary round of the 2009/10 season. There followed several months without clubs time during which he could train with the U21 FC Zurich. From the second half he increased the FC Wohlen in the Challenge League, where he noticed the person in charge of FC Thun.

For the 2010/11 season David Da Costa moved to the Bernese Oberland. The FC Thun Challenge League champions in 2009/ 10 and rose to the Axpo Super League. Da Costa thus first appeared in the highest league in Switzerland.

Since 2012, Costa Da plays again for his youth club FC Zurich was the first goalkeeper.
