David O'Loughlin

David O'Loughlin ( born April 29, 1978 in Cong, County Mayo ) is an Irish racing cyclist.

David O'Loughlin won the 2000 road race for the Irish Championship in the U23 class. Two years later, he got a contract with Ofoto - Lombardi Sports. He drove for another year and was Irish time trial champion. For the 2004 season, he did not get a professional contract, but could still win the Irish Cup for the first time the elite class. Since 2005, he runs for the U.S. cycling team Navigators Insurance, where he successfully defended his title. He also won a stage at the Canadian Grand Prix stage race Cycliste de Beauce.

2008 O'Loughlin took part in the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. He competed in the individual pursuit on the track and finished eleventh.
