Denis Bodrov

Denis Bodrov Alexandrovich (Russian Денис Александрович Бодров; born August 22, 1986 in Moscow, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with Spartak Moscow HK in the Continental Hockey League since 2010.

Career

Denis Bodrov began his career as a hockey player at youth level of HK Lada Togliatti, for the second team, he was active from 2002 to 2004 in the third-class Perwaja league. Then the defender spent a year at ZSK WWS Samara Wysschaja League, the second Russian league, before he returned to Lada Togliatti. With Lada he won at the European level the 2006 IIHF Continental Cup. Following that season, he was selected in the second round in the NHL Entry Draft in 2006 when a total of 55 players from the Philadelphia Flyers, for whom he never played, however. The 2008/09 season began the links Sagittarius again with Lada Togliatti in the newly formed Kontinental Hockey League before he was discharged in the course of the season in exchange for Mikhail Gluchov to Atlant Mytischtschi. After only twelve games in the 2009/10 season, his contract was dissolved with Atlant due to lack of sporting success again and he finished the season at Philadelphia's farm team in Adirondack Phantoms of the American Hockey League.

For the 2010/11 season Bodrov has been committed by the KHL participants HK Spartak Moscow.

Internationally

For Russia Bodrov took part in the U20 Junior World Cup in 2006, where he took second place with his team.
