Dmitri Kugryshev

Dmitri Dmitrievich Kugryschew (Russian Дмитрий Дмитриевич Кугрышев; born January 18, 1990 in Balakowo, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with Sibir Novosibirsk HK in the Kontinental Hockey League since May 2013.

Career

Dmitri Kugryschew began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of the HK CSKA Moscow, in which he was active until 2008. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2008 in the second round than a total of 58 players from the Washington Capitals. He then spent two seasons with the Remparts de Quebec in the Canadian Junior Football League QMJHL. Especially in the 2008/ 09 season he was able to convince it and he was elected to the All- Rookie team of the QMJHL and Canadian Hockey League. In the regular season the winger was the rookie with the most goals and points scorer of the QMJHL, for which he received the Trophée Michel Bergeron as the best offensive rookie in the league. The 2010/11 season spent the Russians at Washington's farm team in Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, but could not prevail there. In 64 games, he scored six goals and eight assists. In addition, he completed three games for the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL.

For the 2011/12 season Kugryschew returned to HK CSKA Moscow in the Kontinental Hockey League back. On May 1, 2013 Kugryschew was traded along with Igor Oschiganow against Nikita Zaitsev from HK Sibir Novosibirsk. In addition, the HK Sibir received financial compensation payment.

Internationally

For Russia Kugryschew took part in the U18 World Junior Championships in 2007 and 2008 and the U20 World Junior Championships in 2008 and 2009. In all four tournaments he won with his team a medal - at the 2007 U18 World Cup, the gold in the U18 World Cup 2008, the silver and the two U-20 World Championships bronze medal.
