Dušan Šimocko ( born September 29, 1983 in Banská Bystrica ) is a Slovak biathlete.
Career
Dušan Šimocko lives in Banska Bystrica and works as a sports teacher. He starts for VSC Dukla Banska Bystrica, his coach is his father of the same name. Šimocko made his international debut, with good performances at the Junior European Championships 2000 in Zakopane. Eleventh he was in singles, fourth in the sprint and pursuit, with the relay, which also Matej Kazár belonged, he won the silver medal behind the Russian team. Less successful were the Junior World Championships this year in Hochfilzen, where he placed in single race only in the 30s range. Šimocko occurred in 2001 at both the junior championships. In Östersund Šimocko debuted at the beginning of the season 2002/ 03 as 14th in the relay at the Biathlon World Cup.
