Eljero Elia ( 2012)

Eljero George Rinaldo Elia (born 13 February 1987 in Voorburg, Netherlands) is a Dutch footballer of Surinamese descent who is since 2012 at SV Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga under contract. It is mostly used as a left winger.

Association

Beginnings in the Netherlands

Elia played as a child in several small clubs before he moved to the youth department of ADO Den Haag 1996. From 2000 to 2002 he played for the youth teams of Ajax Amsterdam. In 2001 he returned to ADO Den Haag. At the end of the season 2003/ 04 he made his debut in the first team and was from the 2004/05 season to the senior squad. After ADO Den Haag had only occupies the last place in the Eredivisie in the 2006/07 season and was relegated to the Eerste Divisie, Elijah moved to FC Twente.
