Eljero Elia
Eljero Elia ( 2012)
Eljero George Rinaldo Elia (born 13 February 1987 in Voorburg, Netherlands) is a Dutch footballer of Surinamese descent who is since 2012 at SV Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga under contract. It is mostly used as a left winger.

Beginnings in the Netherlands
Elia played as a child in several small clubs before he moved to the youth department of ADO Den Haag 1996. From 2000 to 2002 he played for the youth teams of Ajax Amsterdam. In 2001 he returned to ADO Den Haag. At the end of the season 2003/ 04 he made his debut in the first team and was from the 2004/05 season to the senior squad. After ADO Den Haag had only occupies the last place in the Eredivisie in the 2006/07 season and was relegated to the Eerste Divisie, Elijah moved to FC Twente. In the 2007 /08 season he made his debut under coach Fred Rutten in the home game on 26 August 2007 against FC Utrecht. At the end of the season he had hit the opponent's goal with 30 inserts twice and finished with Twente fourth place. After NAC Breda and Ajax were defeated in the play- offs to Twente qualified for the qualifying round of the Champions League. There, however, the subject Enscheder Arsenal.
Under coach Steve McClaren, he improved the following season his goalscoring considerably; as key players in the storm, he scored nine goals in 34 league games, the KNVB Cup competition four goals in five games. In eight matches in European competitions, he was a blunder. In 2009 he was voted the best young player of the Eredivisie.
Hamburger SV
For the season 2009/10 he moved to German Bundesliga side Hamburger SV. In the Bundesliga, he debuted on August 9, 2009 against SC Freiburg, he achieved his first goal in the third match on August 23, 2009 against VfL Wolfsburg. On 16 Matchday he scored twice in a 4-0 victory over 1.FC Nuremberg, to make the score 1-0 was elected Goal of the Month in December 2009.
In his debut season, Elia played for HSV a very strong season so far, scoring five goals, including a brace in 4-0 win over Nuremberg, and prepared seven more hits before. Even in his first season Elijah reveal Descending shape after outstanding season so far, in the second half he managed not a single point scorer more. In the season 2010/11, his ideas were even weaker.
Juventus
On August 31, 2011 Elijah moved to a failed season for Italian giants Juventus in the Serie A. Elia signed in Turin a four-year contract until 30 June 2015 and cost Juve nine million euro transfer fee. While Juve celebrated after a long time again the championship, Elias truly had it barely a share. When coach Antonio Conte Elia played no role, shuttling between bank and grandstand. Overall, he ran into League Cup and only five times for the Turin on - use time: 107 minutes. He remained without a score.
Werder Bremen
On 10 July 2012, he was transferred for a transfer fee of 5.5 million euros to the German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen. He signed a four-year contract until 30 June 2016. Elijah was after a strong preparation in Bremen initially completely unchallenged and stood in every competitive match of the season so far on the grid. Here, but only at the 2:4 defeat to third division side Preußen Münster in the DFB - Pokal, he scored a goal. In the Bundesliga, he scored only two assists, his achievements were overall not as good as hoped. Due to a late-night tempo ride with his team-mate Marko Arnautovic Elijah was temporarily suspended from the game operation and training by the club on 26 April 2013.
National
Elia graduated three games for the Dutch U-21 national team. He took part in qualifying matches for the U -21 Football Championship in 2009, however, missed the Dutch. He then belonged to the squad of the short-lived Dutch B team. In May 2009, Bond coach Bert van Marwijk called him in the squad of the national team for the World Cup qualifiers against Iceland and Norway. In 2009 he was appointed to the squad for the tournament of the U21 Toulon. On September 5, 2009, he made his debut in the senior team. In the 3-0 victory against Japan, he came on in Enschede after half-time for Arjen Robben and prepared two of the three matches before. In the game in Scotland four days later he scored his first goal as a substitute for the Oranje, the winner to make it 1-0. Van Marwijk called him in the squad for the World Cup 2010 in South Africa, where he in six of seven games - came off the bench - including the final against Spain.
