Ellikon an der Thur

Ellikon is a municipality in the district of Winterthur in the canton of Zurich in Switzerland.

Geography

Ellikon lies in the Thur plain, 10 km north-east of Winterthur. From the community area are 69.7 % agriculture, 19.5% is covered by forest, 4.3% and 5.9 % traffic area urban area and 0.4 % are waters.

The community Ellikon an der Thur is bordered to the north by Uesslingen- Book ( TG), to the east by Frauenfeld (TG), to the southeast by Gachnang (TG), on the southwest by Wiesendangen, on the west by Rickenbach and to the northwest by Altikon.
