Eurovision Young Musicians 2008
The Euro Vision Young Musicians 2008 was the 14th edition of the Euro Vision Young Musicians. The competition took place in the town square in Vienna on 9 May 2008. This was also the opening concert of the Vienna Festival.
Winner of the competition is the clarinetist Dionysius Grammenos from Greece with the piece Concerto for clarinet and orchestra ( Part 4 ) by Jean Françaix.

Semi- finals
The semi-finals took place at the Theater an der Wien on 4 and 5 May. It was visitable by invitation only audience. The result of this preliminary decision was announced in a press conference on May 6 at the City Hall Square.

Final
The finale was held on Friday, May 9, 2008 On the Vienna City Hall bursts before 45,000 people instead. The Austrian television viewers were able to vote for the first time in addition by a spectator SMS voting on their Liebelingskanditaten.
Participants were judged by an expert jury, which was headed by Sir Roger Norrington.
The finalists were accompanied by the Vienna Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Aleksandar Markovic.
