Evgeny Ketov

Yevgeny Nikolayevich Ketow (Russian: Евгений Николаевич Кетов; born 17 January 1986 in the Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with SKA St. Petersburg in the Kontinental Hockey League since May 2013.

Career

Yevgeny Ketow began his career as a hockey player at youth level Avangard Omsk of HK, for the second team, he was active from 2002 to 2004 in the third-class Perwaja league. Then the winger spent one season with the ZSK WWS Samara in the subprime Wysschaja League, before he in the summer of 2005 when HK Lada Togliatti from the Super League, the highest Russian league, signed. With the Lada Links Sniper won at European level 2006 IIHF Continental Cup. In the 2008/09 season, the first year of the newly formed Kontinental Hockey League, scored the former youth international for Lada in 39 games 16 goals and prepared for another ten before. He was then committed for the 2009/10 season from reigning champions Ak Bars Kazan.

Between 2010 and 2013, playing for Severstal Cherepovets Ketow and developed at this time to a service provider and a leading player of the team, so that he in 2011 as team captain this led onto the ice and received several nominations for the national team. In May 2013 in exchange for Gleb Klimenko Ketow, Sergei Monachow was given the KHL rights to Sven Baertschi and a compensatory payment to the SKA Saint Petersburg.

Internationally

For Russia Ketow took part in the U20 World Youth Championship 2006, where he took second place with his team. In the men's World Cup 2012, he won the gold medal with the Sbornaja.
