Evridiki
Evridiki Theokleous (Greek Ευρυδίκη Θεοκλέους, born February 25, 1968 in Limassol ) is a Cypriot singer. As a stage name she chose her first name. She represented Cyprus several times during the Euro Vision Song Contest.
Career
Evridiki grew up in Nicosia. After school, she enjoyed a musical education, including in Paris and Boston. In 1989 she moved to Athens, where she released her first album in 1991. In 1994, she married musician and composer Giorgos Theofanous. They soon became one of the leading pop, rock, and Laika singers in Cyprus and Greece. They also participated in musical productions and took duets with various colleagues.
Euro Vision Song Contest
Evridiki met three times for Cyprus, the Euro Vision Song Contest in 1992 with Teriazoume (11th ), 1994 with Ime anthropos ki ego (again ranked 11th ) and 2007 with the Comme ci comme ça French-speaking (ranked 15 in the semifinals ).
