Fak Tha District

Amphoe Fak Tha ( Thai อำเภอ ฟากท่า ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of the Uttaradit province. The Uttaradit Province is located in the northern region of Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts are ( from east clockwise): Amphoe Ban Khok the Nam Tha Pla Pat and the province of Uttaradit and Amphoe Na Muen in Nan Province.

The largest river of the district is Maenam Pat ( Pat- river), a tributary of Maenam Nan ( Nan River ).

History

Fak Tha in 1937 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) Amphoe Nam Pat the set. On July 20, 1958 Fak Tha was promoted to Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Fak Tha is divided into four subdistricts (tambon ), which are divided further into 33 villages ( Muban ).

Fak Tha ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ฟากท่า ) is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Tha Fak and Don Long.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
