Na Muen District
Amphoe Na Muen ( Thai: อำเภอ นา หมื่น ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the south of the province of Nan. The Nan Province is located in the northeast of the northern region of Thailand.
Geography
Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise): Amphoe Na Noi Nan Province, Amphoe Ban Khok which, Fak Tha, Tha Pla, Uttaradit Province, and Amphoe Mueang Phrae and Rong Kwang in Phrae province.
History
Na Muen was born on October 9, 1978 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by he had been separated from Amphoe Na Noi. It originally consisted of the Tambon Na Thanung, Bo Kaeo and Mueang Li Na Muen On July 4, 1994 was promoted to Amphoe.
Management
Amphoe Na Muen consists of four sub-districts ( tambon), which further into 48 villages ( Muban ) are divided.
There is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district:
- Bo Kaeo ( เทศบาล ตำบล บ่อ แก้ว ), consisting of the entire Tambon Bo Kaeo.
There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
